Elegant fold flat box

I am so excited to bring you today's project, I was in my craft room playing around thinking of some projects for my upcoming tutorials. When an idea popped into my head.

With mothers day fast approaching I had my own mother in mind, I made a beautiful card last week and thought why not make a box to coordinate with the card. Also I had to bear in mind that I would be sending this box in the next give away so had to think about postage as well. I've made this box to fold flat so great for posting.

The pictures are of the prototype in my tutorial I will be using white and gold.

While making this project I didn't want any card wastage so it uses a full sheet of a4  card stock. I used whisper white.

Score on the long side at 4.1/4", 5.3/4", 10", 11.1/2

Score on the short side at 1/2", 2", 6.1/4", 7.3/4"

I used a piece of whisper white cut at 4.1/4" x  3" and the floral thinlits dies to cut out the layering piece for the front of the box.

I used the free celebrate you thinlits from sale-a-bration to cut out the amazing sentiment in gold foil.

I used our pansy punch and flower shop stamp and heat embossed three beautiful flowers with our gold embossing powder.

I used vellum and the pansy punch to punch out three more flowers to overlay the embossed ones. I added a pearl centre into each of the flowers as you can see in the pictures.

I really think this box looks so elegant with the card and would make a wonderful mothers day gift or even wedding gift just change up the sentiments to suit.

I hope you have enjoyed toady's project. Go over to my tutorial to see me make this box.
